When trying to purchase some certified diamonds, it can be quite daunting. The most popular diamonds in the world are white diamonds. They are produced by mines all over the world in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. With the rise in popularity of the colored diamonds the term White is misleading. A white diamond is considered to be totally colorless.
To rate diamonds, there are Color grading scales used by the internationally recognized laboratories (GIA & IGI for example). These rating scales range from D which is totally colorless to Z which is a pale yellow or brown color. Brown diamonds darker than K color are usually described using their letter grade, and a descriptive phrase, for example M Faint Brown. Diamonds with more depth of color than Z color fall into the fancy color diamond range. This is one way to compare diamonds when shopping.
One definitely constant is the traditional classic of a white diamonds. White diamonds contain a simple beauty. There are so many jewelry possibilities that include the use of white diamonds. There are necklaces, bracelets, anklets, earrings, rings, and even toe rings and belly button rings. With the sheer beauty of certified diamonds, nothing is off limits.
Selecting diamond earrings is more than just picking some beautiful piece in the glass. Diamonds are expensive and knowledge is needed to make a wise purchase that will retain or even increase in value over time. Therefore, just knowing the color of a loose diamond is need.
